ABOUT THE NORTHEAST ORCHESTRA
Founded in 1989, the Northeast Orchestra is an all-volunteer ensemble dedicated to bringing live orchestral music to northeast Tarrant County, Texas. A community orchestra, we are composed of healthcare and financial professionals, attorneys, engineers, small-business owners, music educators, classroom teachers, students, retirees and more — all who come together with a love for music and the desire to share it with others.
Our members are unpaid, and our modest budget for music, equipment and operations comes from ticket sales and subscriptions, paid advertisements in our programs, our annual Silent Auction, and grants and contributions. The Northeast Orchestra, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Texas corporation, and financial contributions are tax-deductible.
We rehearse and perform at Peace Lutheran Church in Hurst, Texas, under the baton of our music director and conductor, Thomas A. Connely. While our concerts display a high level of performance, they're also casual, family-friendly and fun. We invite you to join us for our 2017-2018 season!
