We serve 97 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who have the right to live in the least restrictive setting possible. Our handicap-accessible homes are located in traditional neighborhoods and communities and have support up to 24 hours of customized and comprehensive support. \n\nCommunity homes are typically 3 to 6 bedrooms with 4 to 6 individuals living in them. With this opportunity they learn everyday living skills\, have individualized privacy and have the opportunity to go out and socialize on nights and weekends in the community. With this support\, they are able to have greater independence in a safe atmosphere. \n\nOur direct support staff work one-on-one to help the adults learn the following but not limited to:\n\n Pay rent and bills\, budget \n Shopping for groceries and necessities\n Refill prescriptions and monitor medications\n Prepare healthy meals\n Manage home cleaning and laundry\n Make and keep doctor appointments\n Plan social opportunities\n Join a gym or exercise class and more. \n\nDay Programs:\n\nNorth Central Texas Region has 4 Day Programs that are designed to meet the unique social\, emotional and educational needs of individuals with a wide range of disabilities.
